Here is Part 2 of 2 of the DRY Road King II Demo - Part 1 of 2 dealt with channels 3&4 which are the high gain channels and this 2nd part deals with clean channels 1&2 as well as an up close detailed look at the front of the Road King II amp. Enjoy! and let me apologize up front for the sheer irritatingly annoying amount of times I say "ummm" and "uhhh"... just sad... I just can't collect a thought longer than 3-4 words I guess... This is EXACTLY why I am not a public speaker... ok, well not the only reason but you get the point...
To see and hear more of my guitar rig, check out my website: zone.servegame.com This is the latest version of my guitar rack. The signal chain is as follows Guitar - Boss Rotary Ensemble - Mesa Studio Preamp -Rocktron Intellifex - Peavey Classic 50/50 - Two 1x12 Cabinets loaded with Eminence Texas Heats The power amp runs at 50 watts per side using eight EL84 tubes. The sound clips in my first video were recorded direct into the computer. Recording this way was easier, but what really matters is how an amp sounds live. That's what I'll be showing you now. One cabinet was mic'ed with a Shure SM57 and ran into a mic preamp, then direct to computer.
This is a demo of my Rock Block 1 watt vacuum tube guitar amp by Surprise Sound Lab. I'm playing an Eric Johnson Strat and using a Mesa Boogie 2X12 closed-back cab with Clestion Vintage 30s. No effects were used.
